FAQ

  • As part of the workflow process, you would have signed off on an excerpt demo of your work earlier so the final product should be an extension of that.

    It’s critical to me that you are fully satisfied with your audio product. Know that I will bring to bear the full breath of my expertise, professional equipment and Source-Connect certified studio to give voice to your copy and not not just meet but surpass your expectations.

  • I aim to deliver your product within twenty-four hours of receipt of your final script. The exception is if it’s a longer-form project such as e-learning narration in which case it will take longer and we’ll need to agree on a mutually agreeable delivery date.

  • To quote a fee, I need to know the following:

    1. The nature of the project, specifically whether it is paid media (e.g. broadcast or digital commercials) or unpaid media (e.g. long-form narrations or explainer videos).

    If paid media, please specify the number and size of the markets - local, regional or national - in which the content will run as well as the delivery medium and length of run.

    If unpaid media, please specify the length of usage and the length of the script (word count or running time)

    2. Deadline for delivery.

    3. The need for exclusivity, if applicable.

    4. Whether it’s a directed session meaning whether you’ll want to virtually direct me during the recording.

    NOTE: The fee payable is the greater of the fee applicable under intended usage vs actual usage. In other words, if the contracted terms include usage of my voice for one month, but my voice is in fact used for three months, the applicable fee will be that which pertains to three months of usage. Similar additional fees will apply for any usage beyond the initial scope of use.

  • The initial recording, editing and delivery.

  • Revisions (changes to the script after recording):

    • Minor Revisions (up to three words): $50

    • Major Revisions (more than three words): $100 minimum

    Re-Reads meaning performing 30% or more of the original script: Original rate

    Retakes for Undirected sessions (where I make my own creative choices for the recording);

    Performance Retake

    Should you need me to re-record the performance for a different creative choice, I will do so at no additional fee on the condition that I be provided with clear direction as to the desired tone and tenor of the new performance. After this retake, any subsequent changes will be charged as Revisions as outlined above.

    Technical Retake

    Should retakes be required for pronunciation preferences that were not communicated prior to recording either by a pronunciation guide or otherwise in writing, these will be treated as Revisions as outlined above. Examples include “ish-ues” vs “iss-yews”, “shed-ule” vs “sked-ule”, “tom-ayto” vs “tom-ahto”.

    When submitting a change request, kindly highlight the entire sentence that needs to be re-recorded.

    Complimentary Retake

    Retakes that stem from my own mistakes are complementary.

    Note: Kindly submit all change requests within 30 days of receipt of the original recording. After 30 days, any and all change requests will be charged at the original rates.

  • Invoices are due upon receipt and payment can be made via credit card, paper checks, wire transfers, ACH/direct deposit, Zelle, Venmo or Apple Pay.
