Mental Reframing of Rejections

I read something the other day - for the life of me, I can’t recall where; such is the pluralistic nature of the information media streaming unto us - but its thrust was brilliant. The writer acknowledged that rejection is difficult to stomach, discouraging to the spirit and requires constant fortification of morale. No news there. But what if you thought of rejection differently? What if you were told that you were 100 rejections away from your first significant milestone, whatever that may be? I don’t know about you, but I would want to hasten the pace at which those rejections were flying at me so I could feel the first lift of success. That’s the kind of reframing that keeps the wind in my sails. May your spirit flag but briefly and may your sails be full.
